Wordly

English words on your widgets

Wordly puts English words on your Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets throughout the day, at your level and on the topics you choose, each with its meaning, an example and, if you like, a translation.

Features

  • Words on your widgets

Word widgets for the Home Screen and Lock Screen show today's words, words to review or your favorites, with or without a translation. Daily goal and Streak widgets keep your progress in view.

  • A new word, on schedule

Choose a new word every 15 minutes, 30 minutes, hour or 3 hours. iOS decides when widgets redraw, so you'll usually see a different word when you pick up your iPhone, but not on every unlock.

  • Mark it learned

Know the word? Tap Mark learned on a Home Screen widget. It counts once, on that day, and Wordly adds it to your progress the next time you open the app.

  • At your level

More than 1,000 English words and phrases from Beginner (A1–A2) to Advanced (C1–C2), in 14 topics from everyday English and travel to business, idioms and exam vocabulary.

  • Listen and learn

American pronunciations, a Listen button that uses your iPhone's own voice, example sentences, similar words and usage tips.

  • Goals, streaks, reviews

Daily, weekly and monthly goals that count each new word once, a streak that a time-zone change can't break, and quick reviews that bring words back at growing intervals.
