Tipstub: Server Tip Tracker · iOS
Tipstub
Log tips & wages. Keep every year.
Tipstub is a private tip and shift log for servers, bartenders, delivery drivers, salon workers and anyone paid partly in tips. Log a shift's hours, cash tips, card tips and tip-outs in a few seconds, see your real hourly pay per week, month and year, and keep every year of your history in your own backups.
Features
Log a shift in seconds
Tap Log shift: the day, your usual times and your main job are filled in, and the number pad opens on Cash tips. Add card tips and tip-out, and Tipstub shows your net tips before you save. More holds break, sales, wage, cash reported to your employer, a label and a note.
Your real hourly pay
Home shows this week's net tips, hours and hourly pay, compared with last week. A shift that ends after midnight stays on the night it started, and each currency keeps its own totals, so dollars and Canadian dollars are never added together.
Every night on a calendar
A month grid shows each day's net tips, with the month's totals underneath. Tap a day to see, edit or delete its shifts; a deleted shift comes back with Undo.
Insights: your best days and shifts
See your hourly pay by weekday and by label (Lunch, Dinner, Patio), your best and lowest-paid shifts, a 12-month chart of your net tips and, when you log sales, your tip percentage. Pick a month or a year and one job or all of them; VoiceOver reads the chart's summary and Audio Graph plays it.
A year-end record
The Year tab adds up card tips, cash tips (marked as reported or not), tip-outs, net tips, wages, hours and hourly pay per job. Export your shifts or the year's totals as CSV, or the summary as a one-page PDF with the title you choose. A personal record of the tips you logged. Not tax advice.
Bring your history with you
Switching from another tip app? Export a CSV file there and import it here: match the columns, check the preview with the rows it skips and the duplicates it finds, and import. Started mid-year? Add past totals for a month or a year, so your year summary is complete.
Backups you can see
Back up now saves a file you keep anywhere, and Home tells you when your last backup was. Turn on Automatic backup and Tipstub keeps a copy in a folder you choose, such as one in iCloud Drive, each time you leave the app after a change, with weekly copies. It never replaces a larger backup without asking.
This week at a glance
Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets show this week's net tips, hours and hourly pay; the medium one adds the month and your last shift. Tap one to log a shift.
A reminder when your shift ends
Pick the days you work and the time each shift usually ends, and Tipstub reminds you to log tonight's tips. Tap Log shift on the notification to open the log sheet. Nothing is logged until you save.
One job free, more with the Full Version
Everything for one job is free: logging, the calendar, totals, the year summary, export, import, backups, the widget and the reminder. More than one job and Insights need the Full Version: try it free for 14 days, then a one-time purchase. No subscription, no ads, no account.
Private by design
There's no account to create. Your data is stored only on your iPhone, and in your own backups, including any backup folder you choose. We have no servers and never receive it. Read the privacy policy.

Tipstub keeps a record of what you log. It doesn't give tax advice, decide what is deductible or calculate a deduction. In the US, the Year tab links to a page about the tips deduction, which points to the IRS.
